Our Goal

The UNY Internet eXchange (UNY-IX) is a non-profit Internet eXchange Point, based within Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. Internet eXchange Points (IXPs) serve as a focal point of bandwidth or network capacity. Participating entities interconnect or “peer” with one another to improve network performance, increase resiliency, and reduce operational costs.

The main goal is to offer interconnection for it is members free of charge without membership or port fees or any costs. Together maintaining and growing traffic keep to local, no need to have traffic go overseas only to comeback.

We’re looking to work with the community to provide a place where networks can come together in Yogyakarta. We believe this will improve the quality and availability of the internet around the Yogyakarta and Java Island. We appreciate those who even just positive words of support.
