About Us
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Internet eXchange is an open internet exchange located in Karangmalang Campus, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) serve as a focal point of bandwidth or network capacity. Participating entities interconnect or “peer” with one another to improve network performance, increase resiliency, and reduce operational costs.
Our Goal
The UNY Internet eXchange (UNY-IX) is a non-profit Internet eXchange Point, based within Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. Internet eXchange The main goal is to offer interconnection for it is members free of charge without membership or port fees or any costs. Together maintaining We’re looking to work with the community to provide a place where networks can come together in Yogyakarta. We believe this will improve the network performance, increase resiliency, and reduce operational costs
Why Connect?
Peering exchanges just make sense. Why pay premium prices to transit a NAP network, when you can connect to an inordinate number of your fellow regional networks for a single flat monthly cost? Don’t pay per megabyte to get to the company down the road!
Where To Connect?
Currently, UNY-IX footprint :
- Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Datacenter, Jl. Colombo No.1 Yogyakarta, Indonesia
- Telkom Neucentrix Kotabaru, Yogyakarta.
- Gedung UII Cik Di Tiro
We do plan to expand our footprint into other datacenters in the region, as demand increases.
